Hinweis: Wenn die
Firmware von PS3 V3,50 beim Einkauf ist, geht es mit dieser Methode nicht! Das heißt, wenn ihr die
FW von 3,50 auf 3,55 upgedate haben, gibt es zurzeit kein Downgradesmehtode. Wenn FM im Version 3,50 bleibt, einfach mit einem PS3Jailbreak dongle
downgraden.

You may want to download geo's 3.55-jb and install that and blackb0x ftp if you have not, it will be very useful for the next bit.

If you have a fat PS3 with 256MB NAND you will need to back up your dev_flash folders, as you WILL LOSE BLURAY PLAYBACK. Please see one of the many threads here at PSX-SCENE detailing how to get your bluray playback re-enabled if you forfeit this step. (on my FAT model i restored the DRL1 and DRL2 files in del_flash(2?) I did get to however keep all of my signed 3.55-jb homebrew, and it all works in retail mode except of course backup managers)
If you have a Small NAND SLIM or FAT console it would be a good idea to do one or both of the following:
In the XMB perform a system backup to save installed Homebrew you may have and gamesaves etc.. to an external device (i did this with my slim and it worked perfectly, all my installed signed homebrew from 3.55-jb works in retail 3.41 now)

make a COMPLETE backup of your HDD on your ps3 using ftp, although i dont think installed packages can be moved back over simply by ftp. i only tested the first method

Anleitung:
1) Schaltet eure PS3 FAT über den Netzschalter auf der Rückseite ab
2) Legt nun den Netzschalter der PS3 FAT wieder um
3) formatiert jetzt einen USB-Stick ins FAT32 Format
4) Öffnet nun das Lv2diag_355.zip Archiv und kopiert die Lv2diag.self aus dem File1 Ordner ins Hauptverzeichnis des USB Sticks
5) kopiert nun die PS3UPDAT.PUP aus dem Downgrade.zip Archiv ins Hauptverzeichnis des USB Sticks
6) Verbindet nun den Payload-Dongle mit der PS3 (rechter USB Slot) und schaltet die PS3 ein (Power, danach Eject)
7) Nun seid ihr im Service Mode der PS3. Schaltet jetzt die Konsole über den PS3 Controller ab.
8)Entfernt den Payload-Dongle und steckt nun euren USB Stick in den gleichen USB Anschluss, wo der Paylad-Dongle vorher verbunden war. Schaltet die PS3 nun ein.
9) Der Downgrade wird nun durchgeführt. Die PS3 schaltet sich danach automatisch ab. Der Bildschirm ist während dieser Prozedur "schwarz"
10) Schaltet die PS3 erneut ein. Ihr befindet euch immer noch im Service Mode.
Hier könnt ihr nun auf eine ältere
Firmware downgraden.
Um den Service Modus zu verlassen, schaltet ihr die PS3 ab.
Kopiert nun die Lv2diag.self aus dem "File 2" Ordner des Lv2diag_355.zip Archives
auf euren USB Stick. (alte Datei überschreiben)
Löscht ebenfalls die PS3UPDAT.PUP vom USB Stick.
Steckt den USB-Stick wieder in den rechten Slot und schaltet die PS3 ein.
Der Service Modus ist nun beendet.
