Beschreibung des Spiel:
Command & Conquer ist der Klassiker der Echtzeit-Strategiespiele und ist den meisten hinreichend bekannt. Zunächst muß sich der Spieler für eine der beiden Parteien (GDI - die Guten, NOD - die Bösen) entscheiden. Je nach gewählter Seite zeigt sich die Welt in anderen Farben und die Aufgabenstellungen sind grundverschieden. Während GDI für die Befreiung von der Terroristenorganisation NOD kämpft, liegt es NOD daran, die Macht zu übernehmen und GDI zu bekämpfen. Der Spieler ist in der Rolle des Taktikers, der seine Armeen befehligt. Nach erteiltem Auftrag stehen dem Spieler verschiedene Einheiten zur Verfügung. Mal nur ein Cyborg, mal ein kleiner Trupp mit Baufahrzeug, Panzern und Erkundungsfahrzeuge. Mit dem Baufahrzeug wird ein Bauhof errichtet, mit welchem dann weitere Gebäude und Fabriken errichtet werden können. Dazu benötigt der Spieler natürlich auch die finanziellen Mittel, dazu errichtet man sich beispielsweise eine Tiberium-Raffinerie, die dann mit einem Sammler das wertvolle Tiberium (ein Kristall das viel Energie enthält) sammelt. Irgendwann stößt man dann auf die gegnerische Basis (oder auch umgekehrt), dort können dann die Gebäude erobert werden (entweder zerstören oder per Invasoren einnehmen), je nach Aufgabenstellung. Auf jeder Seite spielt man über etwa 30 Missionen und erhält nach dem Erreichen ein Codewort, das sich der Spieler besser notiert, sonst geht es beim nächsten Neustart wieder ganz von vorne los.

Beschreibung des Spiel:
"Die Story dreht sich um die Polizistin Aya Brea und um die Opernsängerin Melissa Pearce in der Stadt New York. Melissa mutiert aufgrund ihrer evolutionär hochentwickelten Mitochondrien zu einem anderen Wesen, das sich fortan selbst als Eve bezeichnet. Der Plot im Spiel geht hauptsächlich darum, dass die Mitochondrien in Melissa's/Eve's Körper ein eigenes Bewusstsein erlangt haben und versuchen, den Mensch als dominierende Spezies auf der Welt abzulösen.
Eve hat die Fähigkeit, den Mitochondrien anderer Menschen oder Lebewesen ihren Willen einzuflößen. So kann sie zum Beispiel dank der Mitochondrien einen Menschen in Flammen aufgehen lassen, was auch sehr imposant in einer FMV-Sequenz gezeigt wird. Außerdem haben die Mitochondrien die Fähigkeit, auf zellulärer Ebene Veränderungen an deren „Wirt" vorzunehmen: So sieht man zum Beispiel kurz nach dem Anfang des Spiels, wie eine Ratte mutiert, auf das 10-fache ihrer normalen Größe anwächst und sich ihr Schwanz in drei Teile spaltet. Aus irgendeinem Grund ist Aya allerdings immun gegen diese Beeinflussung, was später im Spiel auch geklärt wird. Aya kann mit Hilfe ihrer immunen Mitochondrien mächtige Angriffe starten, die man wie in einem klassischen RPG getrost als Zauber bezeichnen kann. Aya versucht ihrerseits, mit aller Macht Eve von ihrem Vorhaben abzubringen."

And when the danger is grave, she can also call upon her own Mitochondrial abilities to kick some serious butt!

Beschreibung des Spiel:
Dart is the main character in The Legend of Dragoon. He's on a quest to save his childhood friend Shena and settle an old score with the Black Devil. During his journey, Dart is transformed into a Dragoon, a warrior who possesses the power of the Dragon of Fire.
The game uses the system of Additionals to make the battle system more interesting. During battle, you have to keep tapping a particular button to make your attack grow stronger and as you progress, new Additionals shall be added to your arsenal. Also, another unique aspect is the focus on Defense. In this game you'll end up spending a lot of time defending yourself as the inventory is always kept pretty small, certainly a welcome change from the 'give-it-all-you've-got' RPG systems earlier.
Graphically, this game is pretty impressive. The number of CG sequences in the four discs is huge, and ofcourse they are brilliant in their execution. Definitely something to keep an eye out for! Enjoy this edition of our Best of Emuparadise series, and keep coming back for more!

Dream Factory's sequel to Tobal No. 1 was released way back in 1997, and surpasses it in EVERY aspect. I like it better than both Bushido Blade games, and the engine for Tobal No. 2 is almost as good, if not on par with the engine they used for Ehrgeiz. In fact, looking back, this game can probably hold its own with nearly any 3D fighter out there now...
The character designs were all done by Akira Toriyama, and if you've ever seen Dragon Ball Z, you'll know it instantly. The big boots on the characters, Chuji looks like he's powering up, and Gren looks totally ripped from a DBZ episode....Trunks with a hat and different colored hair...
If you've never played Tobal No. 1, here's how the story goes. Gren Kuts has a big old corporation. He goes off to fight in the 98th Tobal tournament and defeats Emporer Udan. (That guy is SO frickin' cheesy. He's got a TOD combo, and he'll use it!) He returns for the 99th tournament after hearing rumors swirling about his corporation doing some nefarious things to the island of Tobal. The prize for winning the tournament is a bunch of money and a trophy. So, some fighters come for the cash, others for the glory, and still others need the trophy for something.

You'll be on the lookout for an array of illegal activity, including drunk drivers, robberies in progress and deadly shootouts. Once engaged, you'll pursue suspects through a dynamic city by taking shortcuts and using aggressive tactics as necessary to apprehend them. Two-player mode lets you roll with a partner; one handles the car while the other fires shots at fleeing vehicles.
